The heart and hands behind First Breath Midwifery Services, LLC.
My journey into birthwork began after the birth of my first son. At that time, I honestly felt unprepared and unsure—
I trusted that doctors always knew best and didn’t realize how much choice and voice I truly had in my own care.
When I became pregnant again, my husband and I decided to dive deep into learning everything we could about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. That knowledge completely changed our experience. We felt confident, informed, and connected and it was such a powerful reminder that birth doesn’t have to feel intimidating or out of your control.
It can be sacred, peaceful, and empowering.
That experience lit a fire in me to help other women especially women of color feel that same sense of ownership and peace in their birth journey.
In 2020, I began working as a birth doula, supporting families through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Each birth I attended reaffirmed what I already knew deep down: this is my calling. After a year as a doula, I knew I wanted to be able to do even more for the families I served, so I answered the call to become a midwife.
I spent three beautiful, humbling years as a student midwife, completing the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) Portfolio Evaluation Process (PEP). I trained hands-on with experienced midwives who taught me the art of blending clinical skill with intuitive, heart-led care. In April 2025, I proudly became a Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).
Now, through First Breath Midwifery, I provide home-based maternity care rooted in trust, cultural awareness, and gentle guidance. My goal is to create a space where every mother feels safe, seen, and supported from her first prenatal visit to her baby’s first breath and beyond.
When I’m not catching babies, you’ll find me enjoying life with my amazing husband ❤, our sweet boys, and our pup 🐶. I love curling up with a good fiction book, soaking up sunshine at the beach, traveling to new places, tending to my garden, and just spending time with my family.
For me, midwifery isn’t just a profession—it’s deeply personal.
It’s about walking beside families during one of life’s most sacred transitions and helping them remember:
You were made for this.

At First Breath Midwifery, we see you as a whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Our care extends beyond physical health to include your emotional, cultural, and spiritual well-being.
We take time to understand your story, your values, and your vision for birth. Through nutrition guidance, mindfulness, education, and open communication, we support your journey in a way that feels balanced and centered. Every visit is designed to nurture not just your pregnancy, but your peace of mind and confidence as a mother.

Homebirth allows you to welcome your baby in the space where you feel most safe, relaxed, and connected.
We bring professional, evidence-based care directly to you, so you can labor freely, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and love.
At First Breath Midwifery we will monitor your health and your baby’s progress, offering gentle guidance while respecting your body’s natural rhythm. Our goal is to make your home birth experience empowering, sacred, and safe — a moment that truly belongs to you.

Water is one of nature’s most soothing tools during labor.
Hydrotherapy — whether through showers or birth pools, helps your body relax, reduces pain, and promotes calm, rhythmic breathing.
At First Breath Midwifery, we offer water birth and laboring-in-water options for families who desire a more gentle, natural experience.
Your midwife will ensure safety, comfort, and support throughout, allowing you to move freely and follow your body’s intuition in the water.

Your healing doesn’t stop after birth — it begins there.
We continue to walk beside you as you rest, recover, and bond with your baby. Our postpartum visits take place in your home, allowing you to stay comfortable and cared for in your own space.
Each visit includes vitals for mom and baby, emotional check-ins, breastfeeding support, and help with newborn care or paperwork.
We focus on nurturing your recovery, honoring your body’s needs, and making sure you never feel alone during this powerful transition.
